Personal Outfit 69 (Window Shopping, Purikura & Red Velvet Cake)

Finally had a catch-up session with Jo after so long. I'm so glad that she's back here in Singapore, she's going back in October but still, at least we can meet up abit to catch up and stuff.

I planned a haircut early that day because my mom gave me a promotional voucher for a free haircut. It was okay, but the guy kindda took my idea of curls too far and instead of using tongs, he used a diffuser which resulted in a really messed up hair do that resembled a rat's nest. Jo helped me to comb it out so my hair looked rather plain and unstyled for the rest of the day. We didn't have much planned after that so we randomly wandered around before deciding to take some purikura. We purposely travelled all the way to Bugis for this really amazing purikura machine that Jo was telling me about. It enlarges our eyes, applies eyeliner, softens and smoothens skin and lengthens and slims our legs, a really awesome machine to bring out the narcissistic side of any girl possible.

My favourite purikura shot, my eyes look huge here! Jo's eyeliner was also darkened and our skins look so soft and perfect hahah!

The blush was added on later, too bad that they didn't have varieties of blush, just 2 options of pink or orange, I wish the pink blush they had wasn't so stark

A fun purikura

The full length shot made our legs look super long and slim, love it!!

Outfit:

Top: Taobao

Ripped Leggings: Taobao

Jeffrey Cambell Lita look-alikes: Galstar

Necklace: Vivienne Westwood

Goggles: Lips Enterprise

I am so gonna try and do my purikura at this machine from now on, I love the effects despite the fact that it looks bit over exposed hence why we look so fair and my hair looks white.

Jo also introduced me to red velvet cake. I was bit apprehensive bout it initially because I detest cream cheese and heavy cheese cakes (I only like light Japanese cheese cakes) but the cake was so scrumptious, my mouth is watering at the thought of it and I'm actually having cravings for it now. I tried it at Cedele, but does anyone locally have anywhere else to recommend a good red velvet cake?

Oh yea, I'm gonna dye my hair next week, still trying to decide what colour because alot of hairdressers have told me not to dye my hair black right after belaching so much because I won't be able to lighten my hair after that. So I'm trying to decide between Muto Shizuka's ashy blonde do or Sakurina's more reddish-brown hair. I'll do a proper post about it next time with pictures so that you guys can get an idea okays?

Haru Bazaar 2011 (Miku in Seifuku Cosplay)

After dying from the heat and humidity of the Comifest 2 location, Esther and I decided to go to the Haru Bazaar instead of attending another day of Comifest 2. Main deciding factor was that the location was indoors and there was AIR-CON!!!! The event was alot smaller but just as packed and we also got to see our friend Sabrina win the karaoke singing contest!

On to pics, as always, fun stuff first:

Esther and I swapped costumes, so she's Kagura while I'm Miku instead. Sabrina is cosplaying Ranka from Macross Frontier, quite a suitable character since she won the karaoke competition.

Esther and I again. I can't deny she's definitely prettier then me when she does cosplay (thinner and taller too... bitch! XD) plus she always gets lots of requests for pictures.

Took purikiura at the end of the day, though there were more people (7 of us!) then the purikura booth could accomodate, so soemtimes you just see a part of their face squeezing in from the corner. Us 3 cosplayers took priority for photo space muahahahah!!!

Yay! And now its back to the more serious shoot for the day:

I brought a book, spectacles, a pen and a Japanese school bag to play around as props. I also tried a new eye makeup style and the upper lashes are actually Daiso lashes!

This picture is over-exposed but I still like it all the same

Miku is doing anything but actually studying... XP

This area outside was a nice spot to shoot some pictures

Ryusei got me to try a lying down pose. Not too bad I guess...

Met a few friends that day and made some new ones including one guy who's helping me alot for a article I need to write about for an assignment. Now I'm looking forward to Cosfest!! Kenneth, Joshua, Esther and I will be bunking together in a chalet since its really near the location, so that we wouldn't need to bother with the hassel of travelling to and fro and lugging our costumes and props.

Esther and I will be cosplaying togetrh for day 1, she'll be Kamui (my "brother") and I'll be Kagura again. Should be fun, posing all kinds of martial arts stances together hahahah. I'll be doing Alois Tracy (mean but cute!) for the seocnd day and I managed to drag my friend, Daisy to be my Claude Faustus, heheh I have a butler to boss around!! Now I'm just waiting for my alois wig to be delivered, why is my agent so slooooowww!!!! Grrr....

Purikura With Jo

Oh noooo..... I just realised that I had totally forgotten to upload the purikura pics I had taken with Jo the last time!!! So sorry Jo!!!

Anyway here they are, well at least better late then never rt? (T_T)

Failed attempt at a =3= face

I kindda like this pic, though I feel I looks bit spastic.... doesn't help when I have the "feelers" on

I like this picture of me though, bit mysterious... hmm....
I notice I have aboslute zero control of how I pose when I am happy, I can never smile right and just end up giving a big toothy grin because I am too happy to not smile as wide as I possibly can. It's not really a good thing if your face bulges out bit weirdly cause of the excessive smiling that causes weird lumps and bumps along my jawline, so I mus learn how to control...
Hence back to self-whoring in front of the mirror and camwhoring myself...
Hey! I'm just practising...
